Lucy Lord Campana is an artist whose observational based painting practice explores the limits of our collective vision. She is interested in how the boundaries of scientific technology are being pushed dramatically; both in seeing outward into space and inward through the microscopic field of metamaterials. Recent projects include images from the Hubble Space Telescope, a series around X-ray use in diamond mining, and methane detection with infrared technology.
She is currently working with Sacred Bones Books to republish the 1905 book Thought Forms which will come out in November 2020. More information can be found at:
Campana holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Columbia University. She teaches painting and drawing at Columbia University and Drew University.
